Woofstock - Raise the Woof
SAVE THE DATE!! The Second Annual WoofStock is coming. May 19th, 2024, 11 - 3 at Silver Fork Winery. Food, Wine, Music, adoptable dogs, and lots of fun. Last year was wildly successful and we look forward to a repeat this year. All donations are tax deductible and will go toward building the new Animal Services Shelter. Tickets will be available in advance $20 or at the gate $25 (bring cash). Keep watching for more information.

1BurkeGives Giving Day 2023
1BurkeGives is an annual, 24-hour online Giving Tuesday event, raising funds and awareness for our nonprofit community in Burke County. On November 28th, you can track your favorite nonprofits on the leaderboard, help organizations win prizes, and check-in on the schedule for a live drawing or an in-person happy hour somewhere in Burke County!
LIVE Fundraiser - Jordan's Way + Burke County Animal Services
We are SO EXCITED to announce that Jordan’s Way will be here for a (3) hour LIVE fundraiser as part of their NATIONAL Tour! We are raising money for a new shelter in Burke County! Please INVITE, TAG and SHARE this to everyone you know to help us reach our goal!

Christmas in July
Christmas is only six months away, but it’s never too early to get in the giving spirit. Donations of the following supplies are always needed at Burke County Animal Services. They can be dropped off at the shelter, 425 Kirksey Drive in Morganton during normal business hours.
Paper towels
Liquid laundry detergent / liquid Bleach – any brand
Martingale style dog collars
Canned cat food
Nitrile exam gloves (all sizes)
Dog and cat toys – new / gently used.
Dog and cat treats – Nudges, Pupperoni and training treats are most beneficial
Creamy peanut butter
Kong / indestructible toys
Cat Litter
Tall trash bags
55-gallon trash bags
Gallon sized Ziplock bags
Dry dog / cat kibble – any brand
New and gently used pet crates and carriers
Small towels (hand towel, wash cloths)
Small blankets (no larger than twin size)
Pet Beds

Strut Your Mutt Fun Walk / Fundraiser
Valdese Lakeside Park, 1149 Lake Rhodhiss Drive NE, Valdese
Shelter dogs will be available if you want to walk with an adoptable dog. Participants are asked to get sponsors for their walk to raise money for the pets at Burke County Animal Services. Sponsorship and registration forms are available online at www.bcpls.org or at any Burke Co. Public Library location or you can register on site.
